Wiseled has developed a structured ecosystem of hardware upgrades and integration packages that extend the Q62’s capability into more demanding operational environments — adding precision IR illumination, extended-range thermal performance and laser-based effectors where the standard platform falls short.
The result is a modular, scalable architecture that addresses three distinct application verticals: counter-UAS, security surveillance, and critical infrastructure protection. Each vertical is supported by a defined configuration tailored to its specific detection, monitoring and deterrence requirements.
The Q62 was selected as the ecosystem foundation because it occupies a well-understood position in the market: capable enough for serious operational use, affordable enough to deploy at scale, and supported by a mature integration ecosystem. Wiseled’s upgrades are designed to preserve that cost-performance balance while adding capability that would otherwise require significantly higher-cost military-specification hardware.
This approach is particularly relevant in environments where the threat picture has shifted — critical infrastructure operators, border agencies and security integrators increasingly face challenges that sit between standard commercial security provision and full military-specification procurement. The W-Q62 ecosystem is designed for that gap.

The W-Q62 ecosystem currently addresses three application verticals. Each is available as a defined configuration with supporting integration documentation.
W-Q62 configurations are built on a common integration architecture, allowing hardware modules to be selected, combined and upgraded without requiring platform replacement. Core components — including Wiseled IR illuminators, thermal channels and laser effectors — use standardised interfaces and are documented for OEM and system integrator use.
This modularity reduces both procurement lead time and long-term sustainment cost. Operators can configure to immediate requirements and expand capability as operational needs develop.
Detailed capability descriptions, specifications and integration guidance are available for each vertical:

W-Q62 counter-UAS configuration combines the Axis Q62 multi-sensor PTZ with precision IR illumination and AI-based optical detection software — delivering cost-effective, passive-plus-active UAS detection for defence and security applications.

Wiseled’s W-Q62 security configuration extends the Axis Q62 PTZ with focusable IR illumination, integrated thermal detection and high-output white light, delivering enhanced perimeter surveillance beyond the standard platform’s built-in capabilities.

Wiseled’s W-Q62 CIP configuration delivers optical identification, active IR illumination, white light deterrence, laser dazzle and range-finding capability within integrated critical infrastructure protection architectures.

Counter-UAS refers to systems and measures designed to detect, track, classify, and deter unmanned aerial systems (UAS) — commonly known as drones. As commercially available drones have proliferated, they have become a security concern for defence installations, critical infrastructure, and border operations. C-UAS capability typically involves a combination of detection (optical, radar, RF), classification, and an effector — such as a laser dazzler or directed RF — to disrupt or disable the threat. The W-Q62 counter-UAS configuration addresses the detection and classification layer using zoomable thermal imaging, precision IR illumination, and AI-based optical detection software.
The Q62 occupies a well-understood position in the market: capable enough for serious operational use, cost-effective enough to deploy at scale, and supported by a mature integration ecosystem. Wiseled’s upgrades preserve that cost-performance balance while adding capability that would otherwise require significantly higher-cost military-specification hardware.
Wiseled works directly with system integrators, OEMs and end-user procurement teams to scope and deliver W-Q62 configurations. Pre-integration support, interface documentation and field deployment guidance are available on request.
